Lets face it, it has been a cold and boring winter but spring is just around the corner. Here at Humphreys we believe that there is no substitution for preparation. Come Spring there are going to be a lot of lawn mower owners who start up their mower, find something wrong and wait in line at a lawn mower repair shop (like ours) for someone to fix it. Naturally that is all done on a first come first serve basis, but why not get a jump on the line now? Below is a list of 20 things you need to check before you start mowing in spring.

  1. Clean Unit
  2. Change Oil & Filter
  3. Change or Clean Air Filter
  4. Change Fuel Filter
  5. Check Throttle & Choke Cables (Oil if Necessary)
  6. Sharpen or Replace Blades if Necessary
  7. Check all Idler Pulleys
  8. Check Spindle housing for Corrosion
  9. Hydro Fluid (1st 100 hrs then every 400hrs)
  10. Check Battery & Cables
